Do-maru (Suit of Armor without the helmet)

Description: lamallae laced together with brightly colored silk cords (Blair, 168). Laced on the right side, under the arm, and cinched at the waist, it looked like a sleeveless jacket. Like the yoroi, it had large sode to protect the shoulders and an armored sleeve for the left and right arms, the armor being close to the body so it wouldn't be as boxy as the first samurai armor was, leather was used for the joints and on the hands a thin sheet of metal was put on the tops of the hand to help protect from slashes. The chest was the most protected part being made of solid reinforced metal while still overlapping; the skirt was made of six panels instead of four and lay flat against the upper legs meanwhile shinguards were also added to protect against frontal leg wounds. The weakest parts of the armor being below the shoulders and behind the legs due to the absence of any worthwhile armor there due to the wanted mobility. The armor surrounds the body effectively protecting it. The suit would weigh about 50 pounds in total due to most of the armor being a mix of bamboo, leather on top of that and a little reinforced steel to top it off. Another fun fact is that if water got in the armor the silk holding it together would hold the water and make the suit around 5-10 pounds heavier. The look of the armor as a Samurai rode or marched into battle was if anything intimidating, and “a samurai clad in such armor took on the appearance of a supernatural being”
Abilities: This suit of armor has the innate ability to tone down a fire's burn rank in degrees (Meaning 3rd degree would be toned down to 2nd and it goes like that). This ability lasts up to C rank so any B rank jutsu that cause 3rd degree burns or higher will blast through this armor and cast full affect on the wearer.
Durability: The durability of this particular Do-maru is of reinforced steel, this Japanese armor was constructed of small overlapping lacquered metal scales or plates tied together with silk cords in order to specifically resist the slicing power of katanas so it can absorb most slicing weapons power (up to reinforced steel) and reduce it to where it will just graze the armor, ranging from kunai to short swords. Lightning is enhanced by one rank due to the steel in the armor, for example causes 1st degree burns to become 2nd degree burns etc. Taijutsu skills that use chakra (like fire, lightning, greater hit power,etc.) are not blocked by the armor. The armor also doesn't protect against ninjutsu.
History: When Katsumoto first got the rank of Samurai he got sent by his Daimyo to the blacksmith at the city keep, there Katsumoto and the blacksmith spent an entire year making the armor to Katsumoto's specifications and making the armor so that addons would be easy to apply. During the year Katsumoto would go out to all the other kingdoms getting supplies that would add that specific need, laquer from the land of blaze, bamboo from the land of the vines, metal from the land of the snakes, leather from Arashigakure and finally silk from the land of red sand. Once he got all of the things he wanted Katsumoto and the Blacksmith set up the suit and tested it. What they created then was the suit of armor Katsumoto wore to every battle under his Daimyo, and the suit he would wear for the battles to come.

Bump (I know I need to do the history still but what I need to know for sure is the durability and ability)

Alright, what it's looking like it'll come out to be is around.. 200,000 Ryo so far, so we're going to have to nerf the kajeebus out of this suit of armor. First off, for every rank that you're able to negate fire jutsu would cost around 20,000 (From D to S). So you need to lower that down to like.. up to C rank, if you want a reasonable price.

Edit: Not to mention the fear factor. That would hike up the price too.

Secondly, you're saying that all slicing power attacks are reduced by this armor, regardless of their durability. That right there is going to be a LOT of money. You're implying that a diamond shortsword would be reduced by this armor? Even titanium or corundum? That's going to raise your price a lot. The implying that all arrows bounce off is also a price booster.

And THEN you go on to say that Taijutsu is nullified. And even if you're an S-rank, it would STILL take three powerful hits in the same spot to break through?

Overall, you have a lot of OP in this armor, and you never even gave an actual durability for the armor. (Meaning, you have to say something like "This armor has the durability of steel. It can be broken through by anything with higher durability than steel and negates damage by anything less." or something like that.) All you said was that is can pretty much nullify all basic Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, and that all fire Ninjutsu is reduced.

So like I said, very, extremely OP. I don't intend to sound mean, but unless you can whip out 200,000 Ryo, which still probably wouldn't be enough, you need to completely redo this armor or scratch it. That's my verdict.

Your description of this armor was extremely vague when it came to what it actually is, from what I read its a metal tank top with a sleeve and a few panels on you leg. The rest is more or less a type of poem which is nice but not what is needed. We don't need exact dimension of how big it is or anything but a more detailed description of what all is included (perhaps stating that the helmet isn't there since the topic title won't be in your inventory). Also add in some weight for this because covering your body in a metal suit is going to be pretty heavy, especially if it is tied together with silk and it got wet. Also, there is still no history in this application thus no matter what this isn't ready to be approved or priced.

I wasn't done that's why I didn't say anything after, and I was still working on all the details. Thanks though

Add in, for technical purposes, lightning is enhanced by one rank due to the steel and that it doesn't protect against any Taijutsu or other ninjutsu. This needs to be in the durability section.
