Story:
To become an expert Shinobi of Huoshangakure, there is a set of survival training exercises that are done. Each is held in its own specific part of the island chain and its various environments. It is a full-proof way of getting the ninja used to anything the islands can throw at them.

Stage Five: The Bounding of the Burning

On the southern most island in the Land of Blazes, there is a massive lake of pure lava, which is over a mile long. In this lake, there are many small pillars of stone that rise from the lake, each only six feet from the surface with a six inch diameter. If you stand on these pillars for too long, they begin to collapse into the lava lake. The final thing to look out for is the rare lava snake, said to be only a myth, yet still lurks within the lake.
