The Voice of Architecture: Stage Two

Pucko strode through the forest, the shady canopy of the trees protecting him from the harsh rays of the midday sun. It was cool under the leafy green sky, and only on the most putridly hot days would the air become uncomfortable. In one hand Pucko held a small willow seed, taken from a storehouse within the village. His goal was to sing a house out of the small seed to make a new home or a family in the village. After a couple minutes walking Pucko came into an empty grove, a small creek ran along the eastern edge and he deemed it a suitabl place to grow a home. Kneeling in the slightly moist grass he dug a small hole and placed the seed inside it. As he covered the hole back over he raised his voice in song.

Deep in the meadow
Under the willow
The rustle of leaves wakens your sleep

Open soft buds of yellow

The building was simple, yet elegant in its construction. Simple furniture was carved out of the very floor, and the kitchen benches were as smooth as polished stone. The walls were a deep brown, radiating with warmth. The roof was on an angle, and several eaves made from hollowed tree branches ran the length of the house to drain any water collected from the rain. A patio extended from the front of the house, with several chairs shooting from the wood around a low table. Satisfied with his work Pucko turned and strode back towards the village to report the completed mission.
