Personality:
Stern and strong willed, Mizuki is a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to matters of her clan. As a inheritor of clan leadership, she tends to hide her emotions and thoughts behind a mask-like gaze to prevent others from getting under her skin. She refuses to blow-up or cause a fight, but if she needs too she is not afraid. Her severe attitude often sends shivers down the backs of those who are not part of the clan, but behind closed doors she is a different soul.
She lives for her clan, smiling and happy to be near them in good times and bad. She shoulders their worries as if they were her own and will jump down anyone's throat to make sure they have what they require. To offend one of her clan members is an act against ones own well being. She never forgets and never forgives.
During battle, Mizuki is patient to a fault, watching and waiting for the right moment to strike and win quickly. She tends to be a bit hasty at times, and as usual the Yukiyami pride can get to her head. She refuses to go down unless she is dead, and rarely ever does she call a draw. Watch out if you encounter this woman on the battlefield.
Likes:
Spending time training among members of her clan is one of her favorite pastimes, and is where one can often find her spending her spare time. She also loves her alone time, so do try to respect her privacy when she goes off walking by herself. It normally means she is thinking intently over something, or is planning. Bothering her at this time is a bad idea.
She loves salty foods, especially vinegar potato chips, and she also enjoys smoked meat. Sleeping on rooftops with her companion, Hikaru, is the way she enjoys spending her off afternoons. Silent nights without a moon is when she likes to take strolls through the village of Tsudoragakure, Hikaru by her side, both considering the future that lies ahead for their combined clans.
Dislikes:
Being bothered while she is trying to think. She needs this time to herself so she can work out her clan's problems, or more often, her own. She despises nosey people, since she doesn't do any nosing around herself.
She hates sweets, especially cinnamon-flavor things since she is highly allergic to them. She also hates being cat-called at. She knows she is pretty and well-endowed, and she sees these things as weakness at moments and dislikes being reminded of the fact. Anyone who cat-calls at her will answer to her pretty fist. She doesn't like the nights when the full moon comes out; it reveals her to everyone when she walks at night, and she doesn't like to be seen walking at night.
Motivation:
She is motivated by her duty to guide and protect her clan first and foremost. They are her family, and as such are most precious to her. She wishes to be a great leader to them, and someone for the future generations to look up to.
Her second motivation is that of protecting the people of Tsudoragakure as an excellent kunoichi. She may protect her family first and foremost, but her village is also of the greatest importance to her. Even if some of the people in her village annoy the shit out of her.
Lastly, she wishes succeed her mother before her in her role as leader of the clan, even though she herself is doing so solo. She wants to be remembered as one of the greatest leaders her clan, village, country, and world has ever seen. Like any Yukiyami, Mizuki absolutely refuses to accept anything less.
Fears:
She fears cinnamon, as it is the only thing she is allergic to and it can kill her. Mostly, she fears not achieve her self-impressed goals and one other tiny thing. One tiny thing that is preventing her from marrying anyone.
She fears that to love someone else would mean giving up her dreams to fulfill theirs. She wants to understand that tie between one person to another, but doesn't want to lose herself in the process. Therefore, she shoves any male who gets too close far away from her heart and her true self.



YUKIYAMI

Bloodline: Hikyuu Jidou
Bloodline Ability:
Stage One: The most prevalent and basic stage of the Kekkei Genkai of the Yukiyami is the ability to use Ice Release jutsu. Every shinobi, from Genin on up, has this ability.

Stage Two: Upon receiving the rank of jounin in the village, a special ceremony takes place. The young Yukiyami in question is taken to the clan's most valued object, the scroll on which every Yukiyami has signed the contract between himself/herself and her own snow leopard. There, said Yukiyami youth will sign the contract in blood and be fully initiated as one of the clan and receive their own snow leopard to name and train alongside.

Clan History:
Ancient in origin, and rooted deeply in its own personal mythology, the Yukiyami clan is said to have originated from ice itself, making them much different from any of the other people in the Land of Southern Frost. Their naturally acquired purple hair, amethyst eyes, and white skin are said to be a personal testimony to the legend that they and their partners emerged from the snow as one. This is what the Yukiyami clan had led everyone outside of their clan to believe.

The Yukiyami clan, in actuality, started out as a small group of humans who strayed away from their families and friends in search of becoming one with their snowy surroundings. They eventually learned to survive off the nearly desolate environment, banding together into a small clan-like unit. During their time alone, they also began to notice that they were not the main predator in their environment and often spotted golden eyes watching them from the shadows.

One day a young huntress of the slowly growing clan, was out traveling when she spotted golden eyes watching stealthily from the shadows of ice and snow. Even though the elders told stories of those eyes belonging to monstrosities of old, the young woman, Yuki, had endured enough of those prying eyes. In irritation and complete seriousness, she challenged the owner of the golden eyes to come out and fight her if it had any bravery at all. From the shadows of the ice burst forth a great creature, its fur the color of ice spotted with dirt, and its eyes molten gold in living form.

It is said that the two fought for three days and two nights, neither willing to give an inch and neither willing to admit defeat. Their pride and silent, stubborn will prevented them from even considering doing so. Eventually however, they called a draw underneath the darkness of the new moon, the stars their only light in the night. The creature, a snow leopard named Yami, decided that for Yuki's bravery and unwillingness to admit defeat that he would sign a contract between her clan and his own, binding them together as one. He believed it would be a waste to continue to watch them from the shadows any longer since this young woman had proven their skill and bravery to him.

On that night, the Yukiyami clan was brought into existence, the snow leopards bound to the humans as much as the humans to the snow leopards. The strangely colored hair and eyes of the clan are effects of their contracts hold over their lives. To break the contract is to bring about death. To this day, they fiercely protect the borders of Tsudoragakure together. Refusing to give and inch, unwilling to give in to another the raw beauty of their icy domain.



History:
Childhood Arc:

Born second to a twin brother, Karaji, Mizuki Yukiyami was immediately placed as second in line to inherit clan leadership in her early years. As she grew up, less and less attention was placed on the rough and tumble girl, and so she grew to be quite the trouble maker. She was seen as only an irritant to her mother, who rarely saw the young girl outside of punishment due to her duties as head of the clan.

Little did she or anyone else know that young Mizuki was only vying for her mother's attention; for anyone's attention at all. Finally, at the young age of 6, she gave up her troubling antic to pursue a path as a successful ninja, training first alongside Karaji in their family's dojo. She was able to grasp the more brutal attacks much more swiftly than her elder twin, whilst he seemed to specialize in genjutsu.

At first, she treated her twin with little respect, seeing him as the rock wall between her and her mother's affection. Eventually, after getting knocked on her ass a few times by her twin, she realized that he was not someone to dislike or to hate, he was her ally. They called a truce there in they moment, promising to always have each other's backs, no matter what.

Academy Arc:

As soon as they both turned 7, their mother enrolled them into the ninja academy and entrusted the rest of their training to the teachers there. Together, they worked towards their goals, getting better and protecting each other's backs from unfriendly hands. Together they also stirred up their fair amount of trouble. Their greatest feat, and the one that still sends shivers down the old genjutsu teachers back, is known throughout the village as The Day of Eternal Dust Bunnies.

Other than her elder brother, Mizuki was mostly friendless in the ninja academy. She dislike the company of her own sex, finding their fawning over guys to be detrimental and extremely stereotypical. During her years at the academy, it was not uncommon for the other girls to call her names and make fun of her boyish style, which she would return with a serving of excellent pummeling on a silver platter.

Doing these things didn't help her reputation very much, but did get the message across that she was kunoichi who was not to be fooled with. Karaji did not have much to say about this almost completely violent behavior, other than one day stating that she was acting like a complete and other fool. Eventually, the behavior stopped and she simply ignored all the other girls in leu of pursuing her studies. At the age of 13, with a deliquent record attached to the very front of her file, she graduated from the academy second in her class.

Second place to her elder brother.

Chuunin Arc:
The relationship between her and her mother began to strengthen, as the leader began to see the hidden potential in young kuniochi when she achieved the rank of chuunin before her brother at the age of 18. However, this simply caused Karaji to grow angry as their mother pestered him to better himself. He blamed Mizuki for his misfortune, and offended her, thus severing their once close relationship.

After said incident, Mizuki began to go out and experience the world on her own, without the guiding hand of her brother. Eventually she developed her own sense of guidance, willing down her troublemaking side into a force for only her foes to experience. Mizuki's patience grew greatly from experiencing the world on her own, and her understanding of her place in the world with it. She finally set aside all her petty needs and began to see that, for once, she was part of something greater, and that she had to provide and protect that more than anything else.

With her goals reset, Mizuki advanced further within her field and began to specialize in the clan's well guarded techniques, slowly evening out her abilities to where there was a peaceful calm. Her mother and brother observed this change from afar, her brother with a glare and her mother with a proud eye. However now, she cared not for their opinions, only achieving her goal of aiding the bigger picture.

S-Jounin Arc:

At the age of 24 she finally achieved the rank of S-Jounin within the village. She accepted her new duties with a stern face, working hard towards her goal and falling into a self-inforced mold like clockwork every day. However, little did she know that her two years as a S-Jounin would rip her away from the path she had planned for herself.

One day, whilst taking a mission alongside her brother, she began to notice something odd about him. He was constantly glancing at a picture of a beautiful young woman, someone not of the clan (She could tell since her hair was black as night). It is ordained that clan leader is to marry within the clan, normally someone chosen from birth, and this picture bothered her greatly. So, being the obedient kunoichi she was, she reported her findings back to her mother.

Her mother immediately forbid Karaji from seeing the woman, and in his rage at what had happened, Karaji left the village with her. Under others from her mother, Mizuki and a few of the other clan members were sent after them, to capture Karaji and the woman that was with him before they escaped the clan's icy grasp. They tracked down the two easily due to the woman being unexperienced in hiding her trail in the snow.

Eventually, when they caught up to them she saw the fear in her brother's and the woman's eyes and was dumbstruck. She watch as he stood between them and her, to protect her with his very life he needed to, and so in the rashness of her youth she made a quick and surprisingly easy decision. She banished him, from the clan and from the village itself, and she and the two ninja by her side left them to fend for themselves.

However, before returning to the village, she forced the two ninja to make a blood oath of silence about the topic. They promised their loyalty to her, and swore to never speak of the events that had occurred to anyone else. When they returned to the clan home, and knelt before Mizuki's mother, the lie they had construct flowed like water from their lips.

"They escaped our reach, milady."

Jounin Arc:

Around the age of 27, Mizuki finally moved up in rank to that of jounin, and completely became one of the clan by signing her own blood oath. Soon after she received Jahi, a male snow leopard with almost more attitude than she could handle. Jahi and she grew close working together, she never leaving his side and he never leaving hers. They enjoyed a peaceful lifestyle for many months.

However, the inevitable came, and Mizuki's mother passed away peacefully one night, passing down her mantle of leadership to Mizuki. Stunned and still mourning, she hid herself away from the public's prying eye for one month so that she could sort out her feelings and pull herself together once again. When she emerged from her home in early summer, she was strong and ready to lead her clan.

Today, she does just that, keeping her clan's interest in mind at all times. She considers her list of priorities to go as follows: clan, village, Jahi, then self. She is currently trying to get a building permit to build a better dojo for her expanding family on an abandoned property in Tsundoragakure. She is being particularly stubborn and pesky about it, but refuses to stop until she gets what she requires. Otherwise, her lifestyle is very basic and lazy, with the occasional mission slipping in to cheer up her day.



RP Sample:

Amethyst eyes follow the outstretched wings of a great bird as they float over her head and through the clouds. A sigh escapes pale pink lips as their owner reaches up to shield her eyes from the sun's violent rays. She squints and the jewels in her face become pale slits of their former selves. She places one hand on a rounded hip, perfect half-moon nails tapping against the flesh of her grey covered thigh. As she stands there, a soft growl echoes out from behind her and she hums a soft reply.

"I'm not sure Jahi. It could be. Just have to see if it lands, then we'll know for sure." she states calmly, voice deep and soothing. The growl resounds a little louder from behind her in reply and suddenly there is a great mass against her leg. She glances down at the creature by her side, admiring his golden eyes with a soft grin. "Oh don't be impatient, we'll find out within good time, and besides I'm not wasting precious chakra on one shuriken. We might need it later."

The mass of spotted white fur growls low in his throat, trotting off to hide beneath the shade of a iceberg again, tail flicking irritably. She continues to stand and stare up at the circling bird, her white and grey outfit camouflaging her from prying eyes. Her abnormally purple hair, close cut and form fitting her face, blew back with every gust of icy wind that should have sent a shiver down her back. However it didn't; she was made of much stronger steel than that.

The bird circled another time, and then spotted her purple head out of the corner of its eyes. With a sharp shriek, it dove down, its feet out for a landing as the woman lifted up her arm to it. The great fluffy bird landed heavily on her arm, and she took the note from its leg, attaching another in its place and sending it off. As she watched it fly away, the growling snow leopard behind her padded forward, looping himself around her legs.

She gave him a very stern glare. "Oh, so now your interested? I see how it is." she stated in an almost serious tone, all except for the tiny smirk on her face. Then she kneeled down low and plopped back on her butt, using the curious creature's side as back support. With the carefulness of a saint, she unrolled the tiny letter and read aloud.

"Dearest Mizuki,

The children and Omatsu are getting along well here, and we now have yet another on the way. I am excited and worried yet again, as you know, I always am. I hope you've been taking care of yourself and the clan, but first and foremost yourself. You know you cannot do your job effectively if you don't. Be careful little sister by only 58.3 seconds.

With a smile she flipped the paper around and was assaulted with four smiling faces. She couldn't help but smile back at the four. "Why lookey there Jahi, I'm an auntie alright. There is the evidence to prove it." she laughed, prodding the snow leopard in the ribs. The great creature sighed and simply flopped down behind her as she gazed back at the picture, a smile spread softly across her face.

The sun set slowly around them, and Mizuki sighed softly as Jahi prodded her with his cold nose. "I know, I know... We still have that business meeting to attend.. Damn to I hate those things." The leopard nodded in approval as she got up and started to walk back towards the village, arms crossed behind her head. He followed suit, tail swishing back and forth behind him like a snake as they return back to their normal, boring, everyday lives.
