Description: The name of this puppet literally means "reaper". Most of the time, this puppet will be wearing a long gray cloak that has a hood and has been very worn so it gives off a ghoulish effect. It can be summoned forth by using a scroll at any time but it takes a few seconds to be summoned. By looking at it with the cloak on, the right arm looks to be a skeletal arm that has been connected together. The skeletal arm is made of mostly aluminum for lightweight but is mixed with some other metals for durability. A weapon that Karitoriki is always seen using is a giant scythe. The handle is made out of oak wood and has a slight curve to it. The handle is about five feet in length. The blade is made out of titanium and measures roughly four feet. The scythe is connected specially to the skeletal hand that only the user can disconect and use it for himself. The hand can also spin around in place for more complicated attacks. The left arm is just an ordinary wooden arm with moveable joints at the elbows and shoulders. In the middle of the arm is a slot that can open up to reveal a scroll that will be in more detail when I get to the abilities. The body is just a wooden body that is decently good when it comes to taking hits. The face is always hidden with a mask and with its hood always being up. The mask looks quite similar to the mask that Haku always wears. The puppet does not have any legs so there is just a large amount of the cloak just dangling giving it a floating effect.
Abilities: First, I shall describe the scroll part. When the latch is opened on the left wooden arm, a scroll is attached to the latch so it will open when it is used. What this scroll produces is ten skeleton arms similar to the right arm. It is similar to the ability of Sasori's puppet that was the third Kazekage. Another contraption is that the mask can flip up to reveal a real skeleton head. The mouth will then open up and can shoot five needles at once. Each needle has a tranquilizer that will make any part of the body it hits numb, but it takes awhile to start feeling the effects of it. The numbness lasts for about an hour or so depending on how many needles has hit the target. There are three rounds that are stored within the head so it can be used more than once. Also, at the end of the wooden hand is a slot that can open up and shoot a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it. There is only one of these inside of the arm, so the shot has to count.
Durability: The durability of Karitoriki is pretty decent. It can take many blows to the body due to the thickness of the wood. This puppet can be completely put out of use if is attacked with fire elemental attacks and so the fire would have to be put out quickly.
History: This puppet was the first to be created by Tsukai. The idea came to him after Tsukai had gotten bullied by older teenagers. The negativity inside gave him a picture of something menacing to scare people away from him. The name Karitoriki was given to the puppet and was considered by Tsukai to be his first “friend”. At first, the only thing the puppet could to was hand-to-hand combat but soon was given a scythe to use in fights. Later, the other various contraptions were soon put on along with the help of his father. His father rather despised the idea of making such an awful puppet but Tsukai had argued that it was a work of “art”.
