Personality: Trigon has a very standard personality, except he is extremely manipulative. By standard, he carries on conversation, well spoken, outgoing if he tries and more importantly, he is likeable. These traits fuel the manipulation within him, making him very easy to trust, and even so far as willing to follow him if he asked. A well rounded personality within Trigon was not natural to him, he was taught his personality. How, by years of human behavioral studies..
Likes: Simple. To manipulate. If Trigon could run the world on a set of strings, he would do it. He would nurture it, love it, even smoke it if he could. Trigon is a heavy smoker. Nothing like a cigar to start off the day. He is a nasty smoker though. He smokes with no respect for others in the room.
Dislikes: Trigon dislikes being out of control of a situation. However, this dislike was taken care of by his vast studies of behavioral knowledge. The dislike of not being in control cannot be confused with fear, for it is this same knowledge that locks away fear for Trigon.
Motivation: Trigon is motivated by the power of the unnatural. This is due to his witnessing the birth of the half breeds bloodline during the final battle of the civil war. Takeshi fuels his motivation, and he will do whatever it takes to achieve this.

History:

First Knowledge of The Viper of the Hidden Storm
Trigons name was not well known in the books until The Great Kinzoku War. This was the first stage of war between Oashisugakure and Arashigakure. Although his power was overwhelming as a shinobi, Trigon prefered the way of the shadows. He was said to have been able to infiltrate the most secret of locations of the enemy, strike them and move on. Oashisugakure's advantage in the war dwindled due to the swift nature of Trigon. Though no one knew his name, rumors of his work allowed him to become known as the Viper of the Hidden Storm. This name never recieved a face, for Trigon was a powerful user of Henge no Jutsu. In fact, he was said to have such an advanced version, that many thought the Viper to be female. Through this, Trigon was said to have been one move away from the assassination of Nahaji Sankuro, if it were not for the Shiokage James Edrick. Though he was able to escape, this was Trigon's only near brush with death. When the war ended, Trigon would be assigned as the new ANBU Captian of Arashigakure, loyal to Hagane Kinzoku.....for the time being...

The Ambush
Trigon's story here begins in the pre-stages of the war. His role was that of a true shadow, although he was not one himself. Trigon was the ANBU captain to Hagane Kinzoku, grandfather of the now infamous Takeshi Kinzoku. Trigon, one could say was the true mastermind, not only behind the civil war, but the death of Hagane and Gintoki (Kinzoku). It all started on an eerie night to the north, as a team of four were sent on a recon mission. The 4, Takeshi Kinzoku, Hisoka Aburame, Aoi Shogun, and Takeshi's uncle, Gintoki Kinzoku were sent as standard procedure, however, what happened was no mere standard protocol. On the night of the mission, the four were ambushed by 50 men wearing attire unfamiliar to the squad. An incredible battle ensued, leaving Takeshi and Gintoki left for dead. However, Aoi and Hisoka were taken captive back to Arashigakure to be held in secret against their will. Trigon was in charge of the assault, taking the orders from Hagane himself to eliminate the two Kinzoku from his worry. Trigon initiated the order by keeping a close trail on the four, waiting until they were too tired from travel to attack, and far enough away from the metal sources to rely on the bloodline within the most dangerous, Gintoki. The plan worked and the two Kinzoku were suppose to fall by the hands of the captain, however, this is where Trigon asserted his own will. Trigon left them within an inch of death, allowing them to live. What was his motive behind this? At this point no one knew he had such motives, but his true plan was to eradicate the throne and take it for himself.

The Fangs of Patience

There was a year between the attack on Gintoki's squad to the north and now, the Great War. During this time, Trigon was an extremely busy man. You see, one cannot leave two alive without checking on their progress, thus Trigon used all of his time to free roam the countryside for the two he left alive. Having Hagane's trust, Trigon never had to worry about complications in what he was doing, after all, Trigon was a master manipulator. To Trigon's surprise, he landed upon the men leading a revolt against Hagane. An incredible retriever of intel, Trigon was able to use the mastery of the Henge no jutsu, along with fluent chakra control, to work his way into the trust of the resistance and into the main headquarters in which consisted of Takeshi and Gintoki. It was here that Trigon gained all of the strategic advantages necessary not only to take back to Hagane, but to place his own worth to the two. It so happened that Trigon had the layout of primary locations of the most top secret of ANBU within the Hidden Storm. This information pushed him into now becoming the lead ninja for intel against Arashi. Like clock work, this played right into Trigon's hands, for he was now working for both ends of the intelligence. Such work would marvel even the greatest of ninja, however, Trigon was merely scratching the surface. It was now, that he could truly push for not only the death of Hagane, but the extinction of the royal blood of the Kinzoku. The war would approach with haste, leaving Trigon to continue secret intel, both as the Henge fiend of Gintoki, and his true form to Hagane.

Venomous Rage

Now that his entire stage was set, the man known as the Viper of the Hidden Storm, prepared to commence the civil war. He would start off within the troops of the resistance, keeping his precision Henge intact as he was among the front lines. When both parties met by the 100,000's the Viper of the Hidden Storm was the first to charge into battle against Hagane. This was yet another of his microcosmic plans in which he strategized. The man would create vast handseals, unleashing a jutsu in which he had developed against the knowledge of his leader, eroding the first wave of soldiers within the lines using the intel he had earned by the ignorance of his Kage. This proved perfect as the slaughtering was occuring at a rapid pace. BUT, as soon as Trigon entered the core of the elite of the Hidden Storm, he allowed himself to be surrounded by his own core men and simply smirked, planted his heel and reversed the Henge no Jutsu, once again becoming the Viper. To the resitance who saw, they simply saw it as one of their leaders falling in the line of duty. He would then unleash such a flurry on the resistance, tearing through every strategy in which they had calcuted to a T, and wiped out a heavy portion of the numbers without breaking a sweat. It was just too easy, and the massive bloodshed simply gave the Viper a high unlike anything any narcotic could offer. The final stage was set, and just as the numbers on both sides began to minimize, Trigon fled into the shadows, setting in watch of the final showdown. The royal lineage was front and center, like puppets on a string for the soon to be leader. He watched the ruthlessness of the Kinzoku as if he were a personal invite to the curse that was this clan. In the end he got his wish, watching Gintoki fall, then Hagane. However, an unexpected delay in his wishes occured, something no strategy could ever prepare. Takeshi was blessed by what Trigon only knew as a god, giving him supernatural abilities in which he had never knew the boy to have, watching the young half breed to survive the slaughter. Many would be upset at this, but when one door closes, another opens. In this case the opening door was Takeshi, and where he gained this source of a god. As the rains poured upon the Land of Snakes post battle, Trigon in true form revealed himself as the only other survivor of the War, offering his assistance and loyalty to Takeshi. The door that was open, simply ripped from the hinges. Takeshi accepted, but was now in the pocket of Trigon. It would be Trigon who led Takeshi into another great war but this time, against another nation. A nation to the south known as Oashisugakure.

Deception of Eden

With Takeshi in command as new head of the shinobi militia, Trigon used the inexperience of the new Kage to force his hand into another war. The great nation to the south had always rivaled that of Arashigakure, and knowing an eager Kage was wanting to prove his worth, Trigon began to spread whispers of hostility from the south. Although Trigon was growing older, his drive was still that of a young man. The Viper had a 'rat' within the nation below, having fought by the side of Arashigakure in their defeat against Oashisu. In this war, Trigon's talents were not among the front lines, but his well known stealth. With his place in the war, Trigon had inside knowledge from this 'friend' within the shinobi forces. Trigon was never tired of the mind twisting games in which he played, convincing the unwise Takeshi to attack. "Nahaji Sankuro is never to be trusted. He dreams of the day in which your kingdom will become his." These words were meant to fuel the young man, attempting to revive another great war. However, Takeshi saught a different life, having a wife and child, and even going so far as undoing all the hard work that was the conquering through Hagane. This in such, erased all that Trigon had worked for. Although infuriated, Trigon instead took the high road. He simply announced his retirement to Takeshi, careful not to burn any bridges. Though he retired from Arashi, he did not retire fully. He still wanted the source that was Takeshi's power and where it came from. This consumed him to the point to of near insanity. However, full insanity is for the weak. Trigon simply tested the limit to his own, driving himself to that point only to bring himself back and understand his purpose. It was time to go hunting.

Eye for a Cause

Trigon had an immediate goal in mind in order for him to go hunting. He had seen the power of the Sharingan during the Great Kinzoku war, and knew it was a great stepping stone to achieve his goal. So for one final time, he used his incredible specialties as a manipulator to gain trust within an Uchiha family. It was here, that Trigon would stoop to levels of a lowly criminal. During a quiet night, he stepped into their home after leaving for what they thought was for the evening, and murder the entire family. The Uchiha in which he killed, apparently never matured his powers, but Trigon could not afford any delays in what was an already overwhelming search for power. Returning to his ways of the Henge, Trigon took his eye into Oashisugakure, using his inside man to get him a scheduled transplant. Within two days, it was complete. Trigon was given a left eye of the Sharingan. It was now time. He would set forth and start. There were whispers of beasts. He knew of these beasts in stories, but only dismissed them as legend. However, fate has a way of turning myth into reality....

RP Sample: Tearing through the gates of hell, Trigon welcomes it with a smile. Arms crossed and cigar in mouth, his grin is more sinister than the king of darkness himself. The Viper had waited what felt like an eternity for his moment and it was finally here. He fluently gathered his chakra, preparing for a battle with an immmortal. He wanted Hades, and Hades, he would get.

He could feel the heat raging against his skin, but Trigon only took a draw from his massively wrapped cigar, the light beaming even through the fire and flames. Trigon let the sweat bead from his brow, putting one hand out to his opponent. He then taunted with a gesture for the king of darkness to come. The Viper was ready. Let the showdown begin..
