Mission: Garbage Duty

The scene was still only lit by an eternal twilight with just enough light to see as Shitai walked up on one of the factories that had been leveled in the spar between two kages on the site a few weeks back. Back then the sun was still around so as he kicked some stones around he felt the warmth of the covered sand before it faded and it perked him up. He almost forgot to undo the waist attachment to the cart he was pulling behind him and it pulled at his abs which jerked him forward a step before he re-caught his balance.

He untied the cart and got to work, sloe and steady he lifted the medium sized pieces of rubble that he was able to find into the cart and continued on in his simple task for awhile until it was about a third the way full. At this time he took a short break and sat down on a pile a little ways down with a water bottle pressed to his lips. The kikaichu crawled out and around him as he waited to restore his strength, the young kikai army drank some of the water before making a run back to th job site along with Shitai. Break was over and he needed to get this done.

As he continued moving the rubble into his cart he noticed very distinctive markings on the sandstone tablets, almost as if they were scarred by the wind. But this was the Gust country after all so it was expected they have at least a little damage from the strong sand carrying breezes but this was something much more, it was apparent that the Umikage who fought Nahaji here was extremely proficient in the use of wind based chakra. In addition to the scars there was quite a bit of strange sand, normally people wouldn't be able to notice that this sand was more grainy and rough than usual but Shitai had been walking barefoot across the sand covered streets of Sabakugakure for at least sixteen of his seventeen years of life so he could tell in an instant.

He shook his head, Haji was very powerful indeed and he liked showing it. A simple turn of his head to the mighty sand storm raging around the borders of the village was proof in itself of that. Before he realized it he had almost completely filled his cart with rubble so he decided to focus on the task at hand and then move on so he could return to his lab, a new addition to Hell's Kitchen had arrived this afternoon and he was looking forward to sampling the goods himself.

There was room enough for one more large piece of rubble in the cart so Shitai scouted around until be found it, a giant piece nearly as tall and thick as he was. He needed the help of his kikaichu to move this one up onto it's side so he could roll it back. As he was moving it he noticed something strange, it wasn't normal recently but he felt the warm embrace of an all to familiar sun on his finger tips so he came out around the giant rock to see what was going on. He couldn't believe it, as sure as he stood there the sun was slowly emerging from it's long slumber and climbing back onto it's rightful throne in the sky as the moon went to take a well deserved rest.

Shitty jumped for joy as his new kikaichu felt the embrace of the sun's warming rays for the first time in their lives. He wasted no time in loading the giant stone into the cart and then made his way to he village. With the sun back he didn't think of his lab and the new tasty morsel within but instead of just lying out in it's warm embrace and to celebrate with his fellow villagers.
