 | These are the steps that any traveler must take in order to reach High Kjerag. The wind around the mountain, and are spaced fairly far apart, making them seem uncomfortable and inconvenient to walk up. Every 2,000 steps, there is a shrine to previous leaders of the Whitebeards that disciples and travelers alike can pay homage to. As the climb heightens, it gets more dangerous. The snow gradually becomes more intense until the blizzard is reached at the top, and it becomes harder and harder to breathe as the air becomes thinner. Other perils include the many wild boars and rams that have made their homes in caves along the Steps' route. Along with giant spiders, spiders the size of an average 10-year-old boy. The spiders carry poisonous venom that can stop a heart in a single hour. An antidote has yet to be discovered.
| 0 | 0 | | | The castle of the Whitebeards is enormous, only comparable to the massive castle of the Tsurukage. There are several hundred monks who live here, however, and they must be accounted for. The large size of their home is necessary to accommodate. The castle is made of intricately cut stone, only comparable to the stone-work that you may find in ruins found throughout the forest of the ancient times. Torches mount walls in every single room and hallway, making this a pleasantly warm place to live amongst the blizzards of the outer mountain.
