Messenger of Oblivion

The rain fell on this land with a harshness that reminded the cloaked figure of the time he came from when war ravaged the globe and power was judged by might of one's kingdom and nothing else. In front of him stood a sorry excuse for historical evidence, a gigantic white-metal gate with an intricate carving of figures he had despised since his birth centuries ago. If he had the ability to create saliva he would have brought his chin back and spat profusely upon the false idol of the so called gate keepers but there was more important business to attend to at the moment. From beneath his robe he drew forth a spear nearly twice the body length of a young teen and stabbed it into the ground. As he prepared the blow to make his entrance know and attract as much attention as possible his head was thrown back as he laughed and screeched. "In the name of the true high king I cast down your barrier, present yourselves or become like sacrificial lambs in the fires of oblivion!" As the last syllable passed from his lipless mouth the weapon was raised and stabbed forth which sent the several ton gates flying and destroying several small buildings just inside the entrance. "Bring to me you king worthless peasants and your lives will be spared, I am the messenger of doom here to deliver your fate."He stood with his weapon once more tucked into the inner folds of his clothing, his face covered and red glowing eyes signaling that he was not one to be taken lightly, he would wait for their leader and slaughter any who came before then.

I was resting on the roof of one of the buildings in my village, the rain falling softly on my skin. I was wearing my usual attire, shirtless with black pants and my seal showing on my midsection. It was quiet, eerily quiet, I could feel something evil nearby. I stood up and looked out over the wall from where I was standing and the next thing I knew I heard a thundering voice that seemed to shake the world beneath me. The voice chilled me and I knew this was the source of the evil. Before I could even go to check out the evil the wall seemed to fly forward from the area the voice came from. A chunk was heading straight towards me and in a last minute decision I accessed the bijuus chakra going into cloak mode and jumped up kicking the chunk sending it flying to the ground. "Hmm that was threatening even to me...feel free to head to it and get your ass killed." The bijuu said to me in my head, obviously trying to intimidate me, I replied "I'm afraid I agree with you, but I need to do something, I won't let this thing destroy my new home." The bijuu simply laughed as I began to hop from building to building eventually arriving at the remnants of the gate. I landed in front of them and turned, assessing the damage. It was massive, the wall no longer existed, the power of this man was one of the strongest I have ever seen. I turned and looked at the man but simply looking at his piercing red eyes gave me chills but I had to do something. I yelled out "Leave! You aren't welcome here, our kage would never concede to the threats of lowly terrorists like yourself." I instantly regretted my decision to confront him but it was too late now, I prepared my chakra scalpels with the cloak of white chakra still surrounding my body, time to see how this thing would react.

A man in his own culture but a mere child compared to the evil that now stood inside the walls of the hidden storm, as his was the only voice to say anything since he entered obviously his attention was drawn. It was unfortunate that this village got the messenger with the highest blood lust and the least brain but that's just how it goes sometimes. He raised his hand up and pointed, the robe falling away down to just below the wrist to reveal there was no skin or muscle holding together the exposed skeletal system of this part of the body. A single ebony-tinted bony finger extended and held completely steady without the creature even turning his head. "You think yourself a host to a demon, well you are right in a way though that demon is me and not that piece of shit feline locked up inside you. Now run along and get me something to eat else I will be forced to dispose of you." A slight chuckle was heard now, he knew now that either this kid would do as he said or he would get the thrill of the first kill of his new life.

The man raised his hand and pointed at me and to my surprise all I saw was bone, only bone. This completely screwed with my head, being a medical specialist I knew that there was no way to allow bones to move on their own without the use of some ungodly jutsu. The sheer sight of it combined with his threat made him start shaking with fear, he knew that challenging this man would mean his death but he refused to do it's bidding, he wouldn't betray his new home. His body wouldn't move but he opened his mouth and yelled out "Fuck off! I won't be doing shit for you! Leave!" Did I really just say that? I again instantly regretted the decision but held my ground with my hands forward still in guarding position looking him dead in the eye. "Kid there is a difference between courage and stupidity, I can sense this things power and even I'M not sure if I could take him." I ignored the bijuu, either that or I didn't hear him out of focusing only on the thing in front of me.

An interesting response for a mere mortal, normally he would exert a portion of his power and explode the little pest from the inside out but he had more important things to tend to. However, such disrespect could not go unpunished so He turned to place his icy gaze upon the man and jumped higher than any living thing should be able to, placing himself in the same spot as the man but twenty feet above. His move was going to be simple, let his weight take care of everything and crush the insect. Not an elegant kill but this was no time for grace.

As the creature came crashing down towards Rosuto Takeshi was flying through the air like a bullet to meet this threat head on. His titanium angel wings pressed back to give him more speed until he rammed into the monster several feet above his student and continued on until they both crashed into the village wall. The sound of the near unbreakable metal bending to the metal benders will lasted only a second as he softened it only enough to bust through but still cause great pain to his enemy, this was the kage at his finest. After both men moved about for a few seconds everything grew silent save for the rain still falling down from the sky.

I closed my eyes, sure that my life was about to end but then I heard a loud impact followed by the sound of bending metal and then silence of everything aside from the rain. I kept my eyes closed, still afraid as to what I might see if I opened them. Slowly I mustered the strength to open my eyes and saw nothing, nothing but the crumbled wall from before. I fell to my knees and the bijuu chakra receded back into my body and I cancelled the scalpels on my hands. The sense of relief I felt was nothing like I've ever felt before but I knew my life was owed to one person and one person only, my sensei and kage of the village, Takeshi.

The cloaked figure emerged from the hole first, breaking the subtle silence and revealing more features of his body as the impact had shredded portions of his clothes. Now all could see his legs were just as his hand, ebony-tinted bone held together by seemingly nothing but perhaps black magic beyond any known jutsu. "Im going to kill that man and then Ill deal with you." His words, directed at the man he had attempted to crush only moments ago, would ring with a sense of irritation rather than pain of any kind. A rustling in the background alerted him to turn and look behind him for his attacker to emerge as well.

The moving about was indeed a signal that Takeshi would be emerging soon but not through the way he entered. Bending the metal around him he flew out a a point fifty feet higher and hovered there for a moment, giving a glare the cut deep into the skeletal figure as he learned that this opponent was no normal person but rather the one he had been sent here to talk to. He cared not at this moment though, revenge for the embarrassment cause was etched into the front of his skull and it would be had soon enough. The kage moved over to land a few feet in front of Rosuto. "Are you alright?" His wings folded into place behind him as he kept his eyes on the monster, never giving him a single opening to strike.

I felt fear again as I heard the thing yell out to me that he would kill me after he was done with Takeshi, this gave me intense drive of some sort, I now had my kage to protect as well as the village and when Takeshi approached me and asked me if I was alright I rose, the bijuu's chakra coating me yet again and the scalpels at the ready "Yeah, lets go, we can't let him harm the village." I then began to walk past him towards the figure in the distance with a sense of courage that would probably get him killed.

The figure turned his head some more and a part of his cloak fell away to reveal an exposed set of teeth with no skin or lips attached, the set of bone gnashers grinding against each other in irritation as he was more or less ignored. Without thinking he raised his hand up and the ground around him glowed purple. This lasted several seconds until the first skeletal hands popped up out of the ground. Six skeletons each holding a halberd in their fingers rose from the earth and surrounded him in an attack formation. "You will need to be taught respect mortal, come face my squad of elite undead!"

Takeshi's eyes burned with rage as he saw the underworld magik used in his own home, such desecration and disrespect for those passed on would never be tolerated so long as he was alive. Reaching back behind his back he grabbed his twin blades and spun them around into position so that one faced to the sky and the other towards the ground. "Undead fiend, you have one chance to exit the way you came before I put you back in the ground. This is your only warning and is no idle threat." He fury would be expressed in the short and angry way he said his words, even to his student behind him the kage would have grown as scary as any attacking demon and then some.

I could tell Takeshi had gotten angry at the desecration of the bodies that were resurrected around the beast. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the concept of completely reanimating the lifeless bodies of others, it would have to be an extremely powerfully Ijutsu to do something like that, perhaps even demonic. After Takeshi threatened the thing I too yelled to him "You underestimate our village, I can't believe you just expected us to allow you to walk over us!" I was really getting angry now that I had time to get used to the fear caused by this man and my eyes turned more feline looking and I began to growl in a low-pitched tone, the bijuu was obviously beginning to surface more.

A laugh from the darkest corners of hell rang in the area, it would appear that these flesh covered fools were trying to be intimidating. While the silver-haired one did being a small sense of caution due to the blow landed earlier the demon brat was simply pathetic and until something happened to change that opinion it would be carved in stone. "I expect nothing of the sort human, I expect you to fall down and join the dead along with the rest of the village in due time. Now attack my minions, strike out and rip the life from these two until their skeletons can taste the rain!" The skeletons raised their weapons and charged, leaping up from surface to surface until they were level with their opponents, four going after the older shinobi while the remaining two went for a flank on the bijuu host. Their master simply stood there with his concealed features slightly being exposed by the blowing wind while otherwise not moving, studying his prey like a lion on the hunt.

I had prepared myself for the oncoming assault, keeping my knees bent and shoulder width apart. As the two skeletons approached from both my sides I heard the bijuu speak up "Look alive kid, boners at 3 and 9 o'clock." It was weird hearing the bijuu getting battle advice, usually he just laughed when I failed. He must notice the strength of the enemies attacking me. I ducked as the two swung their weapons narrowly hitting the crown of my head. I rolled forward and turned to look towards them and jumped back and began to assess the situation. What could I do? I wasn't sure if they were affected by genjutsu and they didn't have muscle for me to sever with the scalpels. This was going to prove to be a difficult fight ahead of me, but I wasn't about to allow a few skeletons to over run my new home.

Takeshi used his sword play to bat away the skeletons coming towards him, the first one met his kiba blades before it knew what was happening. From the way the thing squirmed and went limp after he sliced off the head it would appear they die like normal living things would. Using this knowledge he backed away from them a second and charged a quick spurt of chakra into his weapons as he prepared an assault out of his norm. The first of the trio left met the same fate as the first with its head on the ground, after the strike though his swords disappeared and were replaced by his giant executioner's blade which quickly cleaved the second one right down the middle. This weapon did the same as the previous and was replaced by Takeshi's signature weapon, the Mjolnir hammer-ax. This weapon came down and completely obliterated the skull, turning it into dust as the ax head came around from a second swing to cut it in half and send the remains flying. The kage wasn't through just yet though, he laid the hammer on its head with the handle sticking up as he grabbed his wrist and charged an enormous amount of chakra as a circle formed on the roof beneath him. It was time to show the force of a true storm to this unwelcome guest.

The skeletal figure shook his head, he should've known to summon something more than his weakest minions but the waters had to be tested as always. Though he was confused, the older man stopped immediately after taking down the last skeleton attacking him and held his wrist, had he injured himself? Then the blazing circle of light ing erupted around him and he scoffed, another attack being prepared, and since the man's follower seemed to be holding his own there was no doubt this shot was for him. Time for these mortals to understand the difference between a man and a god.

I continued to dodge the strikes from the skeletal beasts until I saw an opening as the one on my right swung over my head with his blade, I crouched down to dodge it and then thrusted my hand upward into the elbow of the monster. I heard an audible pop as the scalpels separated the forearm of it from the upper arm. Then I got an evil smirk on my face as I realized what I could do to the beast. I then began to assault the beast with an endless barrage of attacks, using my extensive knowledge of the skeletal system to hit every joint spot on, dropping a new bone every time (Imagine it sorta looks like nejis 8 trigrams 64 palms, only aiming at joints instead of chakra points). At the end there was a trail of bones leading back to where there was just a skull which I proceeded to pick up, smile at, throw onto the ground and step on, finally beating the thing. It seems I've discovered their weakness for me to exploit, and I still had one more to handle.

As the chirping sound filled the area to an ear splitting level Takeshi's eyes grew even more dead, the iris' of his eyes lost in the heated glow of the lightning growing from his veins giving a new meaning to blind rage. Then all at once the sound silenced itself allowing the rain falling just enough time to almost replace it before it screamed out like a falcon alongside the sound of broken bone. Though he had only used a natural lightning strike to cover his movement it was still a great feat that had been accomplished, more than he could even realize. There was a single ebony rib in his hand, gripped tight as he spent a split second stabbing around inside his opponent looking for some kind of vital point but it was a hollow skeletal shell. Before he backed of though he used the rib to shred the rest of the upper half of the cloak revealing at long last the monster's face to be a twisted skull with fiery red eyes that burned like the fires of helheimr. Takeshi put distance between them and tucked the stolen bone in his pouch behind his back, a slight smirk broke through his otherwise emotionless face. The shock on his opponent's grim face seemed to tell that the fight would soon end and this would be behind them but there were some loose ends to wrap up.

His unbreakable body had been cracked and torn, this was impossible for a mere mortal man to accomplish. And if that was he case what exactly was the man that he had pissed off? The rain would have felt cooling had the ability to feel anything not been stripped from him centuries ago upon rebirth, his twisted jaw straightened as he used his hands to snap it back in place, a look of amazement on his face as he saw his bone get shoved into the man's pocket. "Well then...it seems I'll need to skip straight to the message from my master..." The skeleton seemed more angry in his tone now, the shock of being damaged had passed and his sense of being above all else had returned. "There is a storm approaching the likes even you filth have never seen, rolling in from the north in the form of spears and swords.With my master at the head none will survive and your sky's will rain red once more..." His mouth twisted into a sadistic grin as he revealed that which he was sent here for, the word had been given and at any moment he would be returned home.

Now that I had discovered the secret to taking them out with my jutsu the other one was quickly dispatched. I ducked the blade of its stab and again pulled off my joint combo using my medical knowledge and chakra scalpels to reduce the second attacker to nothing more than a pile of bones and a crushed skull. I was personally proud of myself for standing up to these talkative piles of bone and even the bijuu commented "Wow kid, good work." I smiled and then looked over at Takeshi who was confronting the ring leader, its bones now completely exposed. I ran after them, still in my cloak, and eventually reached their area. I stood side by side with Takeshi in a battle stance, it seemed I arrived right as they finished discussing something, I wonder what it was.

The kid showed up for a second before he left so the skeletal demon taunted him with a little wave and a smirk. After that he was surrounded by black smoke, similar to if he had performed a summon, but as the smoke cleared he was gone. Back into the realm of his master and comrades.

The skeleton had been part of a strange reverse summoning technique and was no longer in the area. Takeshi's serious attitude however was still very much present. He turned to Rosuto and stated coldly, "Meet me in Valhalla's main battle chamber in one hour. We need to prepare.." Then he walked off in the rain towards Kinzoku castle, a place he often didn't go to without the need of extreme counsel.

I was a little frightened by my sensei's scarily serious face and only nodded, agreeing to meet him at Valhalla. I receded my cloak and scalpels and began to run in the direction of the meeting place, there was no time to waste and obviously he had something very important to discuss with me.
