Personality:
Tappaja, his name is a foreign word that translates roughly to killer and that is what he has become in his adult years. Adorning a giant sword and the teachings of a wise master the great sage of apes has a strong lacking of personality in battle situations. Killing his opponent's one after the other until at last the battle is over and he stands the victor yet again. Outside of battle around his friends and partners Tappaja is different though, often getting drunk with Raleth or discussing philosophic topics with Zetzray.

Likes:
A man of simple tastes, the ape summoner often doesn't pay mind to things and holds no opinion on them there are however a few things he would be saddened without. Primarily he enjoys the company of both his partners and his apes, without them around he falls into a small depression and isnt a fun person to be around. He also enjoys hitting the sake a little to much, often challenging Raleth to drinking contests where they both have to be pumped by Zetzray's medical jutsu or else they's die of alcohol poisoning.

Dislikes:
Being taught by the toughest taijutsu users in the world for years has hardened Tappaja's heart to weakness and he can't stand it in anyone whether it be in him or anyone else regardless of his relation to them. A showing of weakness will make Tapp lose a chunk of respect for those that show it regardless of the reason and it is damn near impossible to recover.

Motivation:
This fierce fighter has only two goals in his life, one being his ambitions in a sense of achievement and the other his only weakness. To master every style of fighting is something he has wanted since he was born into his poor family and although at first that had been an impossible dream it now stands before him on a gold plated road. His other goal is something that even his two traveling companions dont know, in fact other than Tappaja himself only Reefer has heard this part. To recover his younger brother after so many years, it had been a long time since he saw his brother and sometimes wonders if he even survived after their separation, this is something that pushes him forward every day and has made him the monster of the fist he is known as.

Fears:
Though he doesn't really fear it there is one thing that Tappaja has inherited from his primate masters. Their fear, or rather deep respect, for large bodies of water like the ocean. While he has no problem traveling by sea or across giant lakes he will always feel a slight uneasiness while doing so, this wont affect his fighting but is often something that Raleth or Zetzray use against him when he starts talking big about himself.

History:

The Terrible Ninja

When he was a child Tappaja was by no means a shinobi, though he was from a clan of people who had for generations been ninja he himself showed no talent at all and while this frustrated him to no end he dealt with it, even though he did this in less than easy ways. Before he hit his teen years his family's house was struck by a powerful bolt of lightning and soon after his baby brother was born, though his brother was distant from the family he could tell he cared about them and in turn became close to him. He admired his brother's affinity for raiton style techniques and wished very much to learn how to perform them, it was after watching Renga train in his private room for a few months that through sheer will be forced an element to be introduced into his chakra system's nature and through this made himself exponentially more powerful. This new nature in his body was something that excited him and he showed his family, while they were impressed and amazed that he had pulled off something so amazing he became depressed for a long time after since he was told that the age for academy students was much lower than he now was and would never be accepted even had he been born the son of the kage. He joined ranks in the Yakuza operating nearby in Amagumo, this influenced him towards an evil lifestyle but he refused to let it overtake him, eventually he saw the error in his ways and gave it up but was drawn back into it through threats against his brother. They had threatened to kill the boy and although Renga would have been able to take down a few of them with ease his chakra reserves simply weren't enough and he would be killed for sure since these worms enjoyed swarming their enemies.

He continued on a few years living his life as a gangster in the shadows, his raiton nature grew and eventually he learned two more though neither were quite as powerful as his first. He and his brother slowly grew closer and trained together a few times even though Renga was still distant from the family for the most part. Then came the day of the flood. On this day Renga had been outside watching the water rise as he normally did but a powerful gale wind blew him into the rushing pseudo river and he was starting to be drug away, Tappaja was close by and jumped into the water to save him. He succeeded and got him back on the front of the house but as he himself was climbing up the river gained speed and he was rushed away, he looked back and saw his brother reaching out as he did the same but it was no use. He was by no means a ninja and couldn't combat this natural disaster so even against his constant struggles he would be trapped and now tired. As he lost the rest of his strength he passed out, sinking into the water and he saw his life flash before his eyes. These were, as he thought, the last moments of his life and prepared himself to make his trip to the underworld but somehow when he opened his eyes he didn't think he had entered the kingdom of the heavens.

He Who Walks With Apes

As he opened his eyes for the first time after the flood he found himself in a place very unlike anything he had ever seen in the land of snakes, trees that extended higher than he could see as their leaves nearly a hundred feet up obscured his vision. A dreadful humidity which made his still dampened clothing cling to his skin even more as he struggled to adjust his breathing. This place was known as Saru no Shima, the Isle of the Apes, and though he had heard stories of it from his mother and father alongside Renga as children he didn't think it could ever honestly exist or at least that no human would ever set foot there. He walked around for hours and was greeted by a small ape with a painted white face and a red staff in his hands. The little creature stared at him at first but he held out his hand. Though hesitant at first the little monkey reached out and was going to touch his palm with his own but that was interrupted as a larger ape and a cloud of strange smoke burst through the brush to tackle him. He struggled and the paired rolled around until they both rolled off a cliff face straight into a large valley. Within seconds they were both surrounded by larger apes wearing breastplates who with powerful arms separated them and held them in an almost execution position as the ground shook. The source of the shaking was traced back to an ape standing over fifty feet tall behind a pyramid constructed of what seemed to be gold and silver, he was impressed by this and stayed perfectly still as the large beast came forth.

Kneeling down he held out his hand and the ape holding the human released him by shoving him into the extended giant palm. Before he could react he was lifted in the air and unable to escape as two ferocious red eyes looked at him. Feeling he had nothing to lose he ran forward and jumped off the monster's hand to land a clean punch directly on the bridge of his nose. Stunned all the howling by the others that had anticipated him to be eaten like other trespassers was silenced. As Tapp began to fall the large ape caught him with one hand while his other massaged his face, a small fist shaped bruise has already started to form and he started to laugh. Though he didnt realize this at that moment he had passed a test all who visit the island were given to see if they were strong enough to throw everything aside and fight an opponent further from your level than one could imagine. After this he met with a being called Kami Saru, he was told that as a part of prophecy he had been brought here by the first son's spirit and would need to train not only under them but by the only other human that had passed the test when he was brought here. This man was named Heishiro Mitsurugi and had been thought as the greatest swordsman in the world. The legend of Mitsurugi however was thought to have ended many years ago when he fought the dark knight Nightmare over the legendary soul edge but it seemed however his near death battle had been the spark for the first son to fetch him as well and he had struck up a deal with the apes agreeing to train the man they would bring to him on this island for saving his life.

As so it was that for five long years both ape and samurai beat their methods of sword and fist into the kid, he had become a fully grown man in the process and was proud to go on the next quest presented to him, soul edge.

A Legend Born

For months Tappaja was away from the Ape Island, joined only by his faithful friend Reefer who was allowed to travel away with him by Kami Saru. As it turns out this was the very ape that tackled him on his first day, it seemed that the small vanar he was about to interact with was his at that time three week old baby brother. As Tappaja knew the pain of losing your brother he forgave Reefer and the two became the most powerful sparring team on the island, even able to best Oozaru when they worked as one. But now outside the jungles for the first time in years both looked for clues as to where Nightmare may be, eventually they tracked him down to the land of blazes and sure enough the dark knight was standing on the edge of an active volcano killing off travelers as they took this common trade route. They disguised themselves as commoners and when attacked worked as a pair to defeat the legendary fighter, releasing his soul back to hell for the final time. When they returned to their home holding the giant sword a celebration that took an entire week began and ended with many apes only able to remember a few hours at the start then a massive blank. The samurai told his student that he had graduated out from under him and that now he had proven himself his equal, thanking his master for this honor he met with Kami Saru and asked for another opportunity to go out into the world with Reefer. Though Reefer was barred from leaving again under the ancient laws Tappaja was free to leave, there was however the option of him taking the summoner's path. With joy the shinobi took this chance and was instructed to choose his five favorite apes to take with him on his pact, though he could prove himself to add more later these would be those who serve him on these first quests.

In the end he made his decision based on the events during his training. First was Reefer, loyal friend and partner forever. After him was Reefer's younger brother, Strider, though a baby when the man first arrived here he had also developed into a fighter over the years and was ready to face combat for the first real time. Following was Shima, the only female in his group and resident mother figure for the young vanar. With her powerful mastery of weapons she would prove a valuable asset. Then came the guard captain Shredder, his strength was by far the greatest on the island outside of the black hand and had sworn to protect the 'warrior brought by fate' as Tappaja was called by him alone until he fell over still in battle. With these four it was hard to think of an ape capable of finishing it off but then he decided to do as he had his first day here and tried something crazy, Oozaru. The giant ape who had administered his test upon arriving was the fifth and final member of his contract, and although he refused to be called a mere summon he would remain almost as loyal as Reefer to the man he called friend. With this team Tappaja went into the world and built a reputation as 'The Ape of the Red Blade'. He himself doesn't care for the title but uses it whenever he needs to get out of certain situations. Over the course of his training he hadn't noticed how tall he had grown, as he had only been about five and a half feet even five years prior he never thought about it, but stepping into the open world to fight other people he noticed that now he was a giant among his fellow humans and so with his stature and skill he forged a legend known throughout the world and took on a new name to suit this status. Tappaja Saru.

A New Team, 'Sannin'

For nearly a year Tapp traveled throughout the world doing things to add to his legend until eventually he came across a strange pair. The pair was none other than Zetzray Edrick and Raleth Ookami, partners wandering the earth in search of things greater than a shinobi lifestyle. He found them interesting and joined them in their travels. For years the trio were tightly knit, all three having summoning backgrounds all their own and using them to forge a new legend of the three immortals known as, 'The Sannin'. The title seemed to fit him better than his old one so he cast it away, though some still call him that he will never reference it again as the new one quote "sounds more like me". His partners have gone off to perform part of their latest plan while he id another step on his own, they are set to meet in the land of vines for status updates and then carry out the rest of their quest for something more.

Tapp chuckled at the boy, confidence was good but there was something on his face that his Xanadu insight allowed him to see some fear. Not fear of Shredder but fear of being subjected to his power. "Have fun boys..." He went and sat against the wall of the gate and laid his head so his chin touched his chest with eyes closed like he was taking a nap. Shredder picked his foot up out of the hole he made and shook it to remove the stone dust before he sat it down and started cracked his neck and knuckles.

"You are given a handicap I guess to make this fair, come strike me anywhere you please. This free strike will probably be the only one you land so make it count..." He held his arms out to the side with his hands clenched into fists, this was no lie since the line of Vanar he hailed from were known for cockiness but then again they were also known for being able to back up their words so the kid had better make a good shot.
